The Building

This historic building was originally erected in 1902 as the “First Christian Church”. Over the past century the church has had many congregations and services held, serving the community. In the past two decades it was abandoned and deemed a blight property up until the 2020 redevelopment of this beautiful building, now being recognized as The North Church Venue. This family owned and operated business is so excited to showcase the fine-aging of this building, with many one of a kind features it has to offer.

A close look at the 120 year old curved oak pew staircase, with few salvageable sections of pews upon our purchase of the property there was just enough to refinish and repurpose the wood into our two staircases. This photo also highlights the detail in each one of our custom railings, primarily made with scrap/ repurposed steel components, example being the tractor seat, or the iron cart tract railings.

Our wooden stage is roughly 450 square feet. Contains several outlets located along the perimeter. The face is composed of 7 boulders and botannical features woven throughout. The original stained glass handcrafted in 1902 is a key feature to this stage.

The main floor where chairs and tables are to be seated is nearly 4,000 square feet, it is still the orignal concrete from what used to be the previous designs basement was, just etched, stained, and sealed.

The view of the gorgeous handcrafted stained glass is beautiful, throughout the entire building you’ll notice industrial themes incorporated in all of our light fixtures. This 12 foot lamp is comprised of plumbing steel infused with electrical wiring that powers the large vintage amber bulbs.

The suite has 4 Vanity Seats, full body mirror, additional side table and make-up mirror. This area has 28 outlets and will provide plenty of space for wedding day preparations. A fan favorite is this 100 year old hand-carved red velvet sofa. This area has beautiful 120 year old brick and limestone that has been beautifully aged like wine. Attached is a private full bathroom for the bridal party.

Whether for beauty and fresh air or in need of a smoke. This indoor/outdoor area is a refreshing space. Garden balcony accessible from the second story.

One of our two custom cement mixer table sets. This set is fixed with a motor seat on one side and a grindstone on the other. A fun area surrounded by bottanically woven boulders and the original first christian church welcome sign as wall decor.

The close-up of this well lit nook overlooking the garden has all custom furniture. This piano bench was found in rubble; disfunctional, abandonded, and dirty, however, with some ingenuity and elbow grease; This table became a beautiful and fitting addition to the largely repurposed church. The table itself was a cement mixer, filled with wood and scripture, all sealed with epoxy. A steel rainwater drain seat is the other option in this unique table set.

The kitchen area contains two french refridgerators, sink, cabinets, a table and backdrop partly made from salvaged 120 year old wood, and a granite countertop. The extended surrounding area shows our unique 1 ton concrete bartable, with chains and gears integrated into the sides, while boreholes shine light through the table illuminating your drinks.

The west facing wall and area typically used for seating, gift table, catering. This photo highlights and accentuates the detail of the facility in the rustic chain link railing and a portion of the 90 feet of bar-table.

The 20 foot rounded bar, with shelving, 4 taps coming spring 2021, a refrigerator, and small side table as well.
